Hult International Business School Joins Prestigious Financial Times Top 100 World’s Best Global Business Schools

London, January 26, 2009

Hult International Business School joins the Financial Times Top 100 rankings of world’s best global business schools, rated 55th in the U.S. and 97th in the world. This is the school’s debut in the Financial Times Top 100 list since the rankings were established in 1999. The list includes Harvard Business School, University of Pennsylvania Wharton, INSEAD, and London Business School.

The Financial Times list is one of the most highly regarded rankings because it is based on the success of the alumni of each institution in the workplace. The ranking combines a number of measures including salary three years after graduation, salary increase and career progress, the data for which is all supplied by the alumni themselves. The School’s inclusion in the ranking reflects its competitiveness on all of these dimensions. However, Hult International Business School stands out in particular in terms of international mobility, a measure of the success of its graduates in launching an international career, ranking number 6 in the world. Hult is also the only school in the Top 100 list to offer its MBA program in four locations around in the world.

"We are pleased that Hult has joined this prestigious ranking which puts us in the top 2% of all business schools worldwide. As one of the only teaching-oriented business schools, we are glad that our strength as a dedicated teaching program enabled us to reach the FT’s top 100 despite the strong weighting this ranking gives to research," says Hult's President, Dr.Stephen Hodges. "We are committed to providing a global education so that each and every one of our graduates can make a significant contribution to their businesses and communities."

Bertil Hult, backer of the business school and founder of EF Education First-the world’s largest private education organization, has reiterated that, "Excellence in education is our number one priority. Our investments have been geared towards ensuring quality and results. The school’s students, alumni, faculty, and staff have reason to be enormously proud of the recent ranking."
